where the archfiend Satan, the fallen angel of light, Lucifer and and his fallen cronies, who were hurled headlong

flaming from the ethereal sky over the heavenly battlements by God the Father, dwell in

adamantine chains on a lake of fire. I'm inviting you to breach Paradise Lost with me and read this epic poem book by book

over the long term. Today we're starting with book one and I would like to address two types of

listener. The listener who has never read Paradise Lost before and the listener who has. Now, for the listener who has never read Paradise Lost

before, if this is your first time reading Paradise Lost, I would implore you to do it properly.

Record your impression. Pay attention to what you think of it at each stage, at the end of each

book, track it, date it, mark where you are in your life right

now what's going on what's the weather like is it rainy is it hot is it summer where you are

is it winter what's happening in your life did you just leave school have you been working a job

for too long and maybe you want to change it have you got an into or out of

a relationship let me know what's going on in your life record your impression properly and to read

paradise lost properly is to read it aloud and listen to it read aloud and to connect with what

your inner your own inner light your own inner satan

and your own inner god connect and bring yourself fully to the work because you will remember this

for the rest of your life this is a quite a significant literary locale for you to journey to.

So you will remember this if you do it properly.

Make sure you're doing it properly.
