In shocking but not really news, insurrectionist Mark Ponder was sentenced to 63 months in prison,

tying with the longest printed sentence given to any terrorists who attempted to overthrow American democracy.

This black man went down to the capital with the full conviction of his heart that he was saving America.

And I dare believe, dare to conjecture that he and his attorney may wonder why in the world he was given a sentence equal to the fire extinguisher man while he was given a sentence less than a QAnon shaman.

And while I'm sure they are shaking their heads in disbelief, I know I certainly know why he was given five years.

Of course we all know why he was arrested and given an unnecessarily long sentence in prison. It was because he is a Republican.
