Hey everyone. today's guest as a guitarist and vocalist, Steve Sabazli from the Pittsburgh Pennsylvania rock band, Punchline.

Together we break down the writing, recording, and inspiration behind the fan favorite song,

Heart Transplant, taken from their 2004 album,

I'm one of those people who heard Heart Transplant long before it was ever recorded, when

less than Jake toured with Punchline.

These were the days when bands would do just that, road test their material, work out the kinks, and get a vibe from their audience.

So it wasn't a surprise when I listened to the demo for heart transplant, and it was almost

identical to the album version. Producer Sean O'Keefe let the band be themselves. That song they

had been playing live for the previous two years was going to get recorded as they

had been playing this song has a complete disregard for a traditional arrangement
