Police Chief Rene Hall says Officer Amber Guyger has been fired for her actions. 0:49.9	But on Sunday the New Yorker published a new allegation, this one with even thinner sourcing and once again with no corroborating witnesses.
0:58.0	The allegation is from college, and the accuser Deborah Ramirez admitted to not being fully certain it was
1:04.5	Kavanaugh. But Kavanaugh has come out repeatedly to deny these allegations. On
1:09.2	Monday he sent a letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee in which he said, quote,
1:14.0	These are smears pure and simple and they debase our public discourse, but they are also
1:19.8	a threat to any man or woman who wishes to serve our country. Such
1:23.9	grotesque and obvious character assassination, if allowed to succeed, will
1:28.5	dissuade competent and good people of all political persuasions from service.
1:33.8	He went on to say, quote, I will not be intimidated into withdrawing from this process.
