You know it's hard to believe about 25 years ago now amazingly I met photographer

Patrick Murphy Racy or PMR as we call him.

Back when I was getting ready to launch my magazine in Phoenix, Arizona,

a mutual friend of ours at what's still an amazing camera store.

I'm talking about Tempe camera near ASU. Put me in contact with PMR who helped me sell off the higher end of my camera gear.

Listen, sometimes you need to make sacrifices, right? I didn't have a whole lot of money back then.

And the rest of my gear I sold through the newspaper, you know, this was pre-Ebay days,

remember, you actually placed ads in your local newspaper and had to meet people face to face what a quaint concept

now fast forward a little more than two decades and we reconnect I had since made

my way back into photojournalism, created this podcast thanks to our mutual friend
