Hello and welcome to an ultra edition of the Bikes for Death podcast. My name is Patrick and I'm your

host and this is the show that focuses on ultra bikepacking, ultra adventures and ultra cool people.

My guest today, you may have guessed, is Ultra Romance.

You know who he is, but how well do you know Mr. Romance?

That's the real question.

Before he showed up to the bikepacking summit, there was chitter chatter fluttering through all their participants.

A lot of talk of the fact that he was going to be there. A lot of fanboys, you know who you are. People want to take

pictures with him, get his autograph, probably get his name tattooed on their ass. You name it. It was going

down. But nobody really had a really good sense of like what he was like

as a person, you know? And so it was really interesting to be able to sit down with the man,

the myth, and the legend and talk to him for a little bit. Turns out he's very much

like you would maybe expect him to be. I quite enjoyed our conversation. He's a lot of fun,

great storyteller, just a lot of fun to be around. He's a very charismatic and entertaining

gentleman, and we had a lot of fun chatting.

So I'll let Ron take it away. He certainly does a very good job of representing himself

very well. So I'll let him do that. On another note, I'd like to just extend everybody a happy

holidays. It's a crazy time of year.

We just had Thanksgiving, followed by Black Friday.

Then we had like, side, no, then we had small business Saturday.

Then you got Cyber Monday and Giving Tuesday.

Man, that's a lot. I didn't even know there was a giving Tuesday. I'm like late

to the party on that, but I found out about it yesterday. And I got to thinking, I'm like, even though
