But even when I listen to podcasts, when people cut straight to the chase, I love that. It's so

considerate. I love a considerate host. Okay, so let's actually, with that being said,

let's jump right into it.

I want to talk about honesty and I want to talk about tactful honesty and why how you deliver honesty matters.

This podcast episode is inspired by a post I did probably a couple of days ago where I said, and I'm looking it up right now,

where I said, in quotations, I'm just, I was just being honest. And then underneath I put,

okay, and honesty can be thoughtfully expressed and dignified.

So let's talk about the phrase, quotations, I was just being honest.

Usually when people say that, it's usually a defensive response or reaction to someone

not liking their delivery. And sometimes when people say that or some version of that, it stops

you in your tracks because what do you really say to that? It's a very

destabilizing phrase and that's on purpose. It's on purpose, you know. I don't think people

who do this think really hard about it. I think it's just an ego deflection tactic. But anyway,

saying all that to say, it feels destabilizing,

doesn't it? Because what do you really say to that without going back and forth? And I hate going back and forth. I don't know about you. I hate going back and forth. And so usually you just kind of
