The Founding Myth is the idea that we are

a Christian nation but I wanted to go deeper in my book than that I wanted to really

rip into the idea that we are founded on Judeo-Christian principles. And that is an argument that the religious right constantly makes.

Politicians make it all the time.

And it's so pernicious because they use it as justification to allow Christianity

to get away with things that other religions or atheism would never be allowed to get away with.
