Michael Moore is on strike. As a member of the Writers Guild of America, he and his 12,000 union sisters and brothers, most of whom write most of our movies and TV series, have been on strike since May 1. So what has Mike been doing while on strike? He’s been catching up on some of the best movies and TV series of the past few months and years. And he’s found some great picks. He also has turned into a binger.

0:28.6	I myself have been on strike since the first of May.
0:34.8	I'm a loyal and dues paying member of the writer's guild of America.
0:40.2	It's the writer's union for primarily for TV and movies.
0:46.6	Obviously I write my films and my TV work.
0:51.6	But I don't think the writer's guild covers podcasts.

0:58.0	Anybody who does any kind of work should be represented by a union because we all need
1:03.6	an advocate for what we do.
1:06.4	It's not just about what we make.
1:08.2	It's about working conditions.
1:09.9	It's about how other people are treated in the work that we do.
1:15.0	It's about taking care of ourselves, having great healthcare.
1:18.6	The unions I belong to, which are the writer's guild, the director's guild, the screen actor's
1:23.4	guild.
1:24.8	They all have incredible healthcare plans.
1:27.9	That was the way it was when I was growing up.
1:30.5	My father worked on the assembly line at General Motors.
1:34.2	We had great healthcare.
