Summary

Gold brought people to Ararat, but what it would be known for is its asylums. The Aradale Asylum would be home for the mentally ill for over a century and would feature conditions and treatments similar to other asylums around the world, most of which were not good. This misunderstanding and mistreatment of the mentally ill lends itself to the negative energy that sometimes feeds paranormal activity. The fact that the criminally insane were kept in J Ward only heightens that energy. Join me as I explore the history and hauntings of the Aradale Asylum! 1:27.7	movies or hearing urban legends about the escaped lunatic wandering around

1:33.4	So there's always been a lot of fear when it comes to asylums.
1:37.1	On this episode, I'm going to be looking at an asylum that's in Victoria, Australia.
1:42.4	This is considered to be one of the most haunted places in all
1:46.2	of Australia. This is the Airedale Asylum. And I'm not surprised that there are haunted experiences
1:51.6	connected to this complex because nearly 13 surprise that There was a jail here, and that jail would later become a place for the criminally insane to be kept.
