0:06.0	Today's episode got me very excited about the future of competition climbing, because
0:12.3	there's a new format in town.
0:15.0	I think it's going to change bouldering competitions forever.
0:19.0	My guest today is Charlie Bosco. Charlie was the lead IFSC commentator
0:24.0	for five years from 2016 to 2020 and commentated for approximately 70 World Cup and World Championship
0:32.5	events. He's also an avid climber and former climbing guide who's done expeditions all around the world.
0:38.8	He's an incredible writer.
0:40.6	And now he is the co-founder of Pro Climbing League.
0:44.9	So in other sports in the U.S., in most places, we have professional leagues like the NFL or NBA or MLB.
0:52.0	And then we have the national team.
0:53.9	We have international federations. You can get on the national team. We have international federations.
0:55.4	You can get on the national team and compete in the Olympics and things like that.
0:59.3	Pro climbing league or the PCL is trying to bring that same concept to climbing.
1:05.3	So we'll have the IFSC doing World Cups and World Championships in the Olympics.
1:09.6	And then we'll have a professional
1:11.6	league where pro climbers can potentially make more money, where viewers like you and me can
1:16.9	have a higher quality viewing experience that's at the same caliber of other professional
1:22.1	sports and new formats that are more exciting and will test the best climbers in the world
1:27.4	in new ways.
1:29.2	It's a head-to-head bouldering format that I cannot wait to watch.
