Labrador leading someone safely across the road, whereas my Unruly Spaniel would have been dragging me

through a hedge. Exactly, but here's the thing. Guide dogs is so much more than just their

incredible dogs. They're the UK's largest employer of specialists, dedicated to supporting

children and young people, and they help from birth throughout life. I have no idea. So it's not

just about mobility. It's about confidence, independence and making sure that sight loss doesn't stop people from doing the things they love.

Yes, they help babies and children learn about the world through touch and sound. They provide large print books so kids can read alongside their friends.

And they even help adults with everything

from white cane training to tech that makes life easier.

And what's lovely is that we can all get involved.

You can volunteer, donate or, and this is my personal favourite,

you can sponsor an actual guide dog puppy

and follow them on their journey from tiny ball of fluff

to fully trained superstar.
