He's a professor of wildlife management at Mississippi State University.

He's the co-director of MSU's Dear Lab and co-host of the Dear University podcast.

These are the phases of the rut.

I'm going to ask you to kind of break down whether it's the beginning of September or

the end of the year.

Parts or portions of the rut go all the way to January.

Break down kind of what you feel are major milestones in buck behavior throughout the

rut, starting in September, ending in late January.

I know it's going to change a little bit based on where you're at.
