You have a theme for this week, you said.

I do.

I did not intend to have a theme for this week because that's not how we roll.

But as we were discussing what we are going to discuss, and as the script that wrote the 60 page script was in its third editing towards the final draft that we're going to go through now it's more like a

six item list that's on a google doc somewhere in the ether yeah it's an index card of notions

yes i know every single one of my pauses and fuck David Brooks is and stuff is carefully scripted.

I notice that there is kind of a theme, and that is how the stuff we talk about and have been talking about for five years now, and that we've been writing about for twice that long.

Certain themes keep coming up over and over again and every now and then it's harvest time when the stuff we've been saying if this

goes on if this goes on this is the sort of thing you can expect this is what it looks like

when things fall apart or whatever um and this week a lot of of things, maybe it's just because Madman is ending,

but a lot of things came to a crescendo, came to a golden moment where you can say,

that's what we're talking about.

Perfect little summations of exactly what we've been talking about in a lot of good ways and a lot of bad ways.
