of the Teamsters Union.

He founded the American Lawyer, which later gave rise to court TV.

He's written in sites of critiques of the American health care and public education systems.

His new project is news guard.

He's assembled a team of top journalists to evaluate news sites to give people a sense

of the value of what they're getting.

We talked about all that more when he passed through Chicago the other day.

Steve Brill, it's really an honor to have you here.

I'm a great admirer of yours.

Thanks, your work.

Your prodigious work, I should say, and I hope to get into a bunch of it.

But I want to talk a little bit about your story.

You've written a book.

This book, Talespin, The People and Forces Behind America's 50 Year Fall, and those fighting

to reverse it.

You've said that you started off wanting to write an autopsy for the American dream.

But you've kind of lived the American dream.

Your dad ran a marginally successful liquor store.
