There's nobody that is on purpose killing bear in the National Forest in Arkansas with a boat.

I mean nobody. I was like, man, I'm going to turn this into like the Arkansas sheep hunting and I set out to kill a bear in the

National Forest on purpose that's what I said and to me that's the pinnacle of

hunting to me.

And not something I have normally done in the past.

I've taken a couple bears in the fall,

but never really been something I targeted,

more of an opportunity thing.

So I don't know if it's because bear hunting

is becoming more popular or if there's just more people looking for

opportunities to hunt what they have available. Either way, this was a great opportunity to chat about

something other than deer and elk which seems to encompass my entire world this time of year.

So it was fun to jump on the phone and talk

to Clay Newcomb, who is actually the owner

and the head of Bear Hunting magazine.
