I'm going to thank Sam, our listener Sam, who has been on the show before talking about Medicare and Medicaid and breast cancer.

I don't know if you remember that.

He was the breast cancer expert who left us a voicemail one time, long time ago.

But he went to a Bernie Sanders event in South Carolina this week. Wow. Before anyone,

this was five days ago, before anyone thought he was even going to run. The announcement hadn't been

made yet. And he wrote to us, he wrote me a letter.

And he said, Bernie Sanders will be here today. Send me $3.00. It's all the way, Sam.

Just kidding. He spoke in Columbia, South Carolina. He attended some Democratic Party events.

And Sam wrote, if Bernie does run, it will be in spite of his experience here in Columbia, South Carolina.

It was obvious at the luncheon, even though there were more attendees than expected, that the left here is weak, weak discouraged and in disarray.

As for the South Carolina Democratic Party, I will be surprised if any leader encourages Bernie to run.

In 2008, South Carolina Democratic Party leaders encouraged Obama because they thought he would be

better than Hillary for local turnout. In 2016, Hillary might be better for turnout here than Bernie.

Organizing turnout really is a problem, by the way, and he indicates not just here.
