Hey, everybody, Tom Woods here. It's episode 2738 of the Tom Wood Show, and I have the great

0:23.1

Larry Lepard with me today, professional investment manager for a long, long time, but way, way more

0:29.8

than that. I mean, that devalues him in a way because he's really, really good at it.

0:35.2

There are a lot of money managers who may as well be throwing darts at a dartboard,

0:39.7

but I'm going to tell you, there's a bias in this episode because I'm invested in Larry's fund,

0:44.7

and it's done so well for me that I'm just a huge fanboy of Larry Lepard.

Oh, thanks, Tom. Yeah, we've been lucky. Yeah, well, more than lucky. I mean, your strategy makes perfect sense, given the current situation. I want to also mention your book, The Big Print, which we've talked about before, which I highly recommend, the subtitle, what happened to America and how sound money will fix it. But I personally think you're a freak of nature in terms of like, you know, you can't beat the market. Okay, well, and not always, that's true. but Larry's as close as you can get to somebody who can.

2:03.1

I've got plenty of bad years, Tom, so, you know, the risks and everything, nobody's always right.

2:07.3

2:08.1

2:08.8

It's been working.

2:09.3

I think the book talks about it.

2:10.9

2:13.8

2:17.9

And that theme is that the government is just out of control financially and that,

2:23.4

you know, what that leads to. And it's historically always led to, and I think Will this time as well, is money printing, which devalues the currency. And therefore, I was telling anybody
