Doug, you know perhaps from international man.com, from his podcast with Matt Smith. It is Matt Smith, isn't it?

Yes, it is indeed. And it's called Doug Casey's take. But you may also know him as the author of a great many books, as an international

investor. He's traveled and lived all over the place. And I figure, you know, I could do a lot worse than

Doug Casey to talk about what's going on in the world nowadays. So, Doug, why don't we start, first of all,

by telling people where you are, because

that might be relevant to some of the questions I ask you. Where are you broadcasting from right now?

Well, right now, I'm on my farm in Uruguay, not far from Punta do Leste and not far from the

Plate River and the Atlantic Ocean Ocean across which is Argentina,

where I spent a lot of time because I'm also in Buenos Aires. So that's where I am most of the

year, one of those two places. During the northern summer, I come back to the U.S. and I have a place

on Chesapeake Bay in Virginia. Well, I ask because, you know, there's a lot of sudden interest in matters to the American

South at this point because of what happened with Maduro and Venezuela and Donald Trump.

And I have a lot of people saying to me, Woods, I'm with you 99% of the time when it comes to foreign

intervention. But in this case, the people are just so happy that Maduro was gone. I mean,

can't you just take a win? Can't you treat this as a win for once in your life? And Doug,

you've lived down there, I mean, not in Venezuela, but you've lived down there a long time, and I'm sure you know the local politics.

Yeah.

And you are the most, you're more anti-communist than any of the people saying those things to me.
