Today's hour I'm curious about the culture wars and who better to talk to than

John Ronson. He knows all about this stuff. A culture war, by the way, is a cultural conflict

between social groups and the struggle for dominance of their values, beliefs and practices.

John is an author. I'm sure you all know.

He's also a filmmaker. His works include them, Adventures of Extremists, the Men Who Stare at Goats, The Psychopath Tests, So You've Been Publicly Shamed, all of them are great books, love them. He made a great podcast

series, too, called The Butterfly Fet, which is all about the porn industry. If you're not

listen to that, I really recommend it. He's got a new podcast out with the BBC at the moment.

It's called Things Fell Apart, a series of strange, Unexpected Human Stories from the History of the Culture Wars.
