which started as a project to develop a pie recipe for each state in the nation as a way to better

understand America as she applied for her green card. Stacy talks with me today about how this project

came to be, how she navigates celebrating America in a time where there is much to critique,

and she gives her best baking tips for all of you aspiring pie makers out there, including myself.
