Welcome to Talking Scripture. I'm Mike and I'm Bryce and today we're going to be doing

Alma 5 through 7 and this is basically two sermons where Alma is talking to two groups of people.

The first sermon is to the people in Zera-Himmler.

It's Alma-5.

It's really big.

It's loaded with questions.

The second sermon will be in Alma-7, and that will be to the people that live in a city called Gideon and so

Alma 5 he's talking to these people and it's they're in a rough state aren't they Bryce? Yeah, it's really fascinating to compare the two sermons and the

spiritual preparation of both cities. I encourage everyone to notice that. Notice what

Alma says to Zarathamla and notice what what State there in and then notice what

Alma says to Gideon and what State there and at the very beginning of

Chapter 7 he'll kind of describe the difference between the two cities he

doesn't say that to Zara Hamla, but he does to Gideon.

He says, well, here's what's going on in Zara Hamla and why I had to say what I had to say.

And so it's fascinating that our own spiritual preparation causes the prophet to give very different messages.

And so let's start with the message to the people in Zarahemla.

And they're definitely messed up.
