Hey guys. Welcome to Not Another Anxiety Show. I'm your host, Kelly Walker, and today it's just me sharing a simple takeaway for those discouraged days.

Those days where we're feeling extra anxious, defeated, hopeless, or exhausted.

So here is the simple takeaway.

Given this discouraged day, what is one small thing that you're able to do easily within your reach that is in alignment

with your values? What you enjoy with a life you want to live? When I think back to the hardest

days of anxiety, the days when I couldn't leave the house and was having multiple panic attacks a day,

I was very consumed

and very limited. But when I acknowledged that anxiety was my current reality, as painful as that was,

and something that I was also actively working through, I was able to start taking small

steps toward a meaningful life for me.

So on a really hard day, on a really anxious day, on a really exhausted day, on a really

discouraged day, I would move my body by doing 20 minutes of yoga.

Moving my body was really important to me.

So while I couldn't do that intense spin workout or martial arts workout,

I was able to do and benefit from 20 minutes of some gentle yoga.

Or if I couldn't go to the grocery store,

I'd have my husband pick up some ingredients on the way

home from work to try a new recipe for dinner. And while I didn't have a lot to give because I was so

busy surviving, you know, 10 panic attacks a day will do that. I was able to show my husband I still

cared and that, you know, I knew he was still in the room

by making him a cup of coffee.

I know these actions seem small.
