Hey you and welcome my name's Mike and in this episode we are going back in time,

hop in and a good old time machine folks for a nice old story.

That takes us meaning you, me and I guess whoever else's listening perhaps the dog or

the cat or whatever.

Do very rural Germany where in March of 1922 the aftermath of a crime was so insanely

vicious.

It kicked off a mystery that has lasted more than one of your hundred years.

We got to one of them enduring mysteries for if folks I do declare, and it's the

test of time.

It will probably be speculated about for over another hundred years.

So what we're doing today, we're adding to that list.

Let's give it a go.

So the Bavarian hamlet of Hinterkijfäck lies around 43 miles outside of Mjurich, half a

mile behind the small town of where else but Kijfäck.

Hence it's it's name.

Hinterkijfäck literally means behind Kijfäck.

Who who who who events this stuff.

Though I guess most places are like this is regular town and this is West Town.

So there resting against the dense forest line was the Gruber farm.

Built around 1863 the farm had eventually been passed down to the surviving Gruber,

Kazzelia Gruber.
