Hey guys, Saga and Marshall here. Welcome back to the Realignment.

So this week we brought Jane coast in a box on the podcast. She's got a great beat, especially for this podcast.

She covers the American right from the perspective of the center left. She's their senior politics reporter and she also co-hosts their twice weekly podcast called The Weats.

One of the things I love about this podcast, we focus on the ways that the right and the left have changed since 2016.

And Jane's perspective is particularly valuable because she's somebody who comes at this with left libertarian views.

But I've always appreciated her ability to navigate the undercurrents that are changing within the right.

And I think she provides a really valuable insight as an outsider that Marshall and I might miss because we're actually participating in it.

She really filled in some of the blind spots on this. It was an excellent discussion.

Yeah, and the one thing that you're going to note listening to this episode on Super Tuesday is that we recorded this a few weeks ago when it looked like Bernie was going to run away with the Democratic nomination.

So a lot of this discussion really focused on Bernie and if I could go back in time, I think I would have had his focus a little more on the broader field.

But you'd be the judge of how we did and let's dive in.

But for real is we both Marshall and I have we followed your work for quite some time.

You work at Vox, you cover the right.

And I think it's maybe fair to say from a left perspective.

Ish. It left ish perspective.

I've occasionally I always there I have many people who spend a lot of time trying to figure out like my political allegiances.

And I always tell them the exact wrong thing.

Like recently someone emailed me like we know you're a committed Republican.
