Hey everybody, Tom Woods here.

I don't know what episode number this is. I usually announce it at about this time, but I'm completely disoriented. Being down here in Texas for the Ron Paul 90th birthday barbecue. And I'm joined today by our old friend Buck Johnson, who is making what I believe to be his first appearance on the Tom Woods show. It is my first appearance. That is an absolute injustice, man. I'm glad we're able to rectify that here in Texas. Buck is the host of the Counterflow podcast and talks about the kinds of things that I think people who listen to me would find interesting. In a way, do you know Steve Patterson? I do not. Okay. You and I have to talk about Steve Patterson. Okay. Because he has a mind exactly like yours. Oh. Yeah. Anyway, let's talk instead of... Sorry, Steve. He's such an awesome guy. He's the kind of guy who he'll propose an idea. And the first time you hear it, you think, Steve, you've gone way too far. Yes. This is not in your wheelhouse. You have no right to make a sweeping statement like that. And then six months later, you say, oh, my gosh, old Patterson. Ah. Right. So anyway, let's talk about, I have a few items on my mind. Obviously, we're at a Ron Paul event. Yes. So Ron Paul's going to come up. But I've been

looking at your feed because I follow you on so-called X. Yes. That's the closest I can come to calling it

by the new name. It's so-called. So-called and with scare quotes. But, you know, I've talked

quite a bit about the Middle East over the years on the Tom Woods show, but it's

not my main focus.

I have other topics that are interesting to me that I know more about, and I tend to focus

on things I know more about, so that even when I have a guest on, I want to know enough about

the subject that I can have an interesting conversation.

If he comes on and knows something

that is completely outside my realm of competency, then it's not an interesting interview in general.

So I don't focus that much in the Middle East because I know some things, but I don't, I ain't

know Scott Horton. But geez, Buck, lately, the issue of Israel, you just can't get around it. I mean, it's got to the point

where it is so preposterously over the top how much the U.S. government is cowtowing to it.

Now, they withdrew that thing where the Trump administration was saying that they would withhold

disaster relief from states that boycotted Israeli

companies. They withdrew that because that was too unpopular, even with their own base.

But it's one thing after another. I just posted on my feed a photograph of dozens and dozens of

U.S. congressmen sitting in Israel with Benjamin Netanyahu. I mean, that's,

like, even if I were a vociferous supporter of Israel, I would find that weird. I would find that
