Download the app today. In late July of 1999 a 35 year old woman stepped out of her apartment building in Manhattan, New York, just as the sun was coming up.

It had been an especially hot summer, so she'd been going for runs as early as possible to try to beat the heat.

She strapped her walkman to her waistband and settled headphones over her ears

as she jogged down the sidewalk toward the park.

But when she turned the corner, she came to a sudden stop.

Just in front of her in the middle of the corner, she came to a sudden stop.

Just in front of her in the middle of the sidewalk lay something big and black.

The woman peered at the motionless object and saw that it was covered with these blue and black

feathers.

She inches closer and realized it was a huge dead crow.

Then she glanced at the sidewalk ahead of her and she gasped.

Dead crows were all over the sidewalk. She counted six or six. and she

counted six or seven scattered all down the street.

The woman looked around her trying to find some kind of explanation for what she was

seeing, but as she did, another crow right above her suddenly stopped flying and fell to the ground with a thud.

Clearly something in this park was killing these birds, but the woman had no idea what it was.
