recording of the series Jeff Norkot's Working Men's Club and I'll just bring in my

guest there this week returning to the show Leo curse Leo can you believe it

that Radio 4 of Commission, the comedy series, called

Working Men's Club. It's got knob gags, Leo. It's got bloke stuff. Is this the revolution

that I've been trying to do as a sleeper cell from within is it is it finally happening

I think it's the last gasp of a dying regime trying to cling on to relevance and trying to like get people to watch they should have done this like 10

15 years ago instead of commissioning like oh the the Ponzi oxbridge gender queer guide to hating yourself you know they should have had some actual proper comedy did they actually commission something called the Gender Queer Guide to Hating yourself?

I mean I would have watched that just out of interest.

I think that's been the unofficial working title of every BBC comedy show since about 2005.

Well, see now I'm in the position of being a BBC show again, but you know, Radio 4 comedy,

that gets audience mate. Like, I mean, we're talking, like the news quiz gets about

three million people there's

fucking insane numbers you know and and you know being the the mercenary that I am I

went to the BBC audio talent party at Christmas and it was one of the most

well attended parties I've been to because as you know

Leo no matter how left of center a comedian might be we're all fucking mercenaries

and we're all climbing the greasy ladder. Yeah yeah absolutely I mean comedians I used to do a bit about this in my show, like how comedians they all act like their left wing, but they're all the most like,

fat-you-right, self-starting entrepreneurs going out and hustling for work in a completely free market.
