All right so obviously if there hadn't been a 16-19 project you probably wouldn't have titled this film in this playful way but what are you driving at by calling it that 1607 project?

Well tell you this started in late 2020 when the 1776 Commission came out.

If you remember that, the Trump administration was responding to the 1619 project and basically what they said was that the 1619 project is wrong because

it claims that America has never lived up to the promise of equality but in

fact we had a civil rights movement, so we did.

We have lived up to that.
