i was uh i was in st louis and i did a benefit for connie's. John Connie, who's a radio legend in St. Louis, old friend, said, come here, do some stand-up, help the kids. I said, okay. And I landed around 1.30. I was coming from New York. So they put me up at the casino, really nice room and everything. So I go to check-in, and they said, okay, Mr. Far, your room's ready. check-in is at four o'clock. I said, I'm here to do a show, possible to get an early check-in.

Sure. So I go to check in and they said, okay, Mr. Far, your room's ready. Check in is at 4 o'clock. I said, I'm here to do a show, possible to get an early check-in. Sure, we have early check-in available. $85. For early check-in? Yeah. $8.5.00. It was $1.30. They wanted to charge me $85 to get in a room that was ready before 4 o'clock. Yes, sir. Yeah, that's what I was going to ask. Didn't they lead off by saying, yes, your room is ready, but you can't get into it now unless you fork over $85? Yeah, $85. I said, so the room is ready, but you want to shake me down for $85. And right away, she froze. She froze because she had no idea. Guy sounded like me, what I meant by shaking down. She goes, I don't understand. I go, well, let me put this clearer. You're trying to shake me down for $85, lady. And it doesn't know what to do. The manager comes over and goes, I'll handle this. Sir, I go, yes, this is our policy. I say, you say policy. I say shakedown. You're not wrong, by the way. You're not wrong at all. No. So there's people around. They start laughing, right? And the manager lady is she's trying to hold it together.
