news in British public life is that this week, I'll have been married 20 years, 20 years. And at

that point, I want to bring in a fellow man who's been married 20 years. Comedian and broadcaster, Charlie Baker. Welcome to the show, mate. Thanks, Jeff. Lovely to be here. Congratulations. Yeah, well, what do you do in this situation? When you passed a 20-year-mile, did you raise your back to the Barmy Army? Did you point your name on your back? It is an achievement. I don't know how many friends you've got, they've got divorced. Not that they've failed, Jeff. No. No. It's a failure. It isn't. No, it isn't because, you know, I think we're from a generation that we might be the last generation that sees it as get together, get engaged, get married, have a baby,

live your whole life like that.

I don't think today's generation feels like that.

Yeah, well, I think we're very linear guys.

Maybe we just lack the imagination to even consider divorce.

I do sometimes go, well, we're a bit boring.

Nah.

We give up. Well, we're really excited.

It's very countercultural to stay married at this point, not even at the point where we're bringing

other people into the bedroom either, you know. Yes, it's like vinyl, isn't it, Jeff? It's like

we're suddenly vinyl records. We've gone old school. And then everyone tells you it's coming back.

And everyone's been telling me finals been making a comeback for about the last 20 years now. It's the longest comeback in history. But we're going to be talking about that because I think that, well, the paperback of my book, The British Blocke Decoded is out this week. And one of the chapters in it, I talk about whether or not blokes have the capacity, the language, the will even, to talk about how their relationships are going.

Yeah.

I think probably you and I have just kind of trundled through while our wives have been relaying information left, right and center.

I mean, that is one thing.

And we will get to this, obviously, later in the show.
