Hey everybody, Tom Woods here, episode 2, 116 of the Tom Wood Show with David Stockman. I have not done what Jean Epstein has done. Gene Epstein, David, did a thing where he actually went back

and counted all the times he'd been on the Tom Wood show

and then calculated the percentage of episodes that had him in it.

So I don't know what yours is, I mean it's not 1% but it's you know but it's been quite a few

times over the years and now we covered a lot of good topics and for some reason

things don't get better that continue to trend in the wrong direction but at least we

can talk about it we can alert people to it yeah we can explain what we think is

going on and that's the best that's right and it guarantees you a semi-permanent place in the Tom

would show rotation so there is that consolation. So if for anybody

you, anybody who doesn't know and I find that hard to believe, David Stockman was a U.S. Congressman

before becoming the Director of the Office of Management and Budget under Ronald Reagan,

had a long and distinguished private sector career.

He is the author of numerous books.

I mean, I've got almost a David Stockman shelf

over here to my right.

Okay.

But for my money, the book The Great Deformation, the corruption of capitalism in America, is my favorite because

it really is a systematic, I would say a kind of a revisionist economic history of the 20th century,

including in the 21st century with the bailouts and stuff from 2008 that we were

told were necessary to keep things going.
