We discussed the song Holiday, which is the lead-off track from their second album, Something to Write Home About.

Matt shared how very early on on the band embraced their pop sensibilities and

always saw themselves more of a pop band than an emo band. I mentioned to Matt that

this record was highly influential when it came out back in 1999 and both the legacy of that

record and the countless bands it inspired it influenced is testament to just how

strong the songs are. We touched on the mid-90s Kansas City punk rock scene and how that shaped who they were both as a band and as people
