Welcome to talking scripture. I'm Mike and I'm Bryce and today we're going to be

covering first nefai chapters six through ten now we're really going to be

focusing on eight first nef 8, which is the vision of the tree of life.

But I want to do a brief overview of chapter 6 and 7.

In chapter 6, Nephi basically says, listen, the fullness of my intent is to persuade people

to come into the God of Abraham, Isaac, and the God of Jacob, and be saved.

He basically tells us his whole goal is to bring us to Jesus.

And First, nearby six is only six verses.

But I think it's important that we read Nephi's words and understand that's his goal. Now the seventh chapter is Nephi

recounting after they left and they were in the wilderness and they have the plates.

The Lord tells Lehi it is not good that a man should be alone. They need to take the

daughters of Ishmael to wife. You see Lehi has sons, Ishmael who lives in

Jerusalem, he has daughters, and so what happens is the Lord inspires Lehi to send his sons back to the city of Jerusalem and to invite Ishmael and his family to come with them on their journey. Now in the story where

Nephi gets the plates he takes Zoram who is Laban servant with him into the

wilderness and that's discussed in Nephi's account.

Now in chapter 7 of first Nephi verse 6
