0:28.9	But the popularity of this debate has kind of waxed and waned.
0:34.0	I would say over the past, I don't know, 200 years.
0:37.3	But over the past 10 years, especially questions have come up
0:41.2	about cessationism versus continuationism.
0:44.8	So this is a debate about the spiritual miraculous, charismatic
0:50.3	gifts that are outlined in the New Testament.
0:53.2	And whether or not they continue today as the continuation
0:56.7	of the Bible, I would say, or whether or not they ceased
1:01.7	after the apostolic age, after the canon of the Bible closed,
1:06.7	which is what cessationists believe.
