Hey everyone, this is Heaving Busms, the podcast where friends who love romance recap books

and movies that have smooching and friendship in them.

Okay pals, we've known this was coming for a while, but it's finally official.

The Supreme Court of the United States of America has overturned Roe v. Wade and I want to scream

until all the oxygen on Earth is gone.

I know this show is an escape for a lot of listeners and we will still get to that I promise,

but I want to take this time to encourage each of you to do one small thing today to protect

reproductive freedom.

Whether it's contacting someone at any level of government, just fucking streaming, planning

or joining a protest or donating to an abortion fund, every single one of us can do something

to help U.S. citizens who have uteruses protect their health, their futures and exercise control

over their own bodies.

I'm going to put a few links in the show notes, including a list of abortion funds that

you can donate to today.

These are organizations that have been connecting people with uterine to abortion access, paying

for their travel, making sure that they have child care, whatever they need to make sure

that they can access an abortion.

And a really, really wonderful piece by Jessica Pickney, the executive director of California's

Access Reproductive Justice about the work that's been done, particularly by BIPOC activists

over the past few decades, to create the infrastructures we need that will safeguard

access to abortion across the United States.
