While it always stinks to lose to a division rival, this one didn’t hurt quite as much as they have recently. We’ve decided that the 2019 season is the Lions opportunity to take stock of the team and assess who their mid and lower tier players are. “Live fire” exercises are so much more telling than watching guys in shorts. We also discuss a little bit about Lions fandom and what motivates people to watch a team that is likely to continue doing poorly this year. Chris tells a funny story about escalation of commitment, and more. We don’t excuse the team or its leadership, but we make talking about the Lions a lot more fun than anyone else.
