And he used to be the front man in the two-tone band, The Hickson's. I've interviewed him so many times.

Recently, I interviewed him about his children's book, Worst Holiday Ever. Very good read. I'll have to tell him about that when I speak to him.

My daughter, sorry, is really enjoying reading that. I've also interviewed him. He did a load of

young James Bond novels. I remember interviewing about that. I've interviewed him about so many

different things. Just recently, he started an excellent podcast about classical music called Charlie Hickson

and Friends but I think he's best known for writing and performing in the far show.

Charlie, welcome to the podcast. Thank you so much for joining me today.

As well, it's lovely to be here, Tim.

I just said in the intro, the last time I interviewed you was about your book,

Worst Holiday Ever. I've been sitting reading it with my eight-year-old,

and I have to say, she loves it. She's engrossed in it.

And she feels really proud that she's able to read a book because it's

quite advanced for an eight-year-old. But it's such a lovely way. She loves it when she gets to the

lists and things. So thank you for that. Oh, well, that's great. It's interesting, you know, because

she's eight, she's probably a couple of years younger

than the sort of target readership, but that's the thing with kids' books. It's really difficult

to specify what age. People always say when I tweet about it, they say, oh, what age is it for?

I said, I don't really know. Yeah. Adults can enjoy it just as much as kids. And, you know,

some kids are more confident readers.
