What it means to me to be a Chicago bear, it's an easy question.

It means everything to me.

That means rich tradition, black and blue division, defense, legends, linebackers.

The history of it.

I mean, I'm a big history guy, so understanding this was one of the first franchises,

just kind of blows my mind, honestly, that was able to be a part of that.

The city, just the nostalgia of playing for a story franchise,

the story franchise of the running back position,

with guys like Gail Sayers and Walter Payton and being able to follow in those footsteps. So being a bear means everything.

as we stand here about 48 hours from the start of the season?

Yeah, well, it's interesting. I think there's two kinds. I mean, if we're going to talk about in the locker room, I think, you know, I imagine there's a little bit of the same feeling as with the Bears. I mean, honestly, JJ, the guys just yesterday were saying, you know, we just want to play.

You know, we want to do something because these guys haven't, all they've done is play, you know, practice for the better part of the last, you know, five, six weeks.

You know, there's only a few starters saw action in Baltimore a couple weeks ago.

I think if you're talking about the fan base vibe, I'm not sure there is one.

I don't really get a sense of, like, hype or excitement, if you will, over this squad.

It just hasn't quite materialized yet even with a new head coach.
