0:18.0	because we are going to host a debate on an extremely contentious topic
0:24.0	and really almost the only topic anybody's seriously discussing these days.
0:29.0	I will introduce our debaters in just a moment, but I will first read to you
0:33.0	the resolution that they will be debating.
0:36.0	And to a degree, some of the language in this resolution was drawn
0:40.0	from an article written by Alan Footerman, one of the two debaters
0:44.0	with our friend Walter Block in the Wall Street Journal,
0:47.0	an article I'll link to in the description by the way

0:53.0	called the moral duty to destroy Hamas.
0:56.0	So the resolution being debated today is,
0:59.0	Israel is justified in doing, quote, whatever it takes, unquote,
1:04.0	to, quote, completely destroy, unquote, Hamas.
1:07.0	And I include those quotation marks because those are words taken directly from the article in question.
1:13.0	So first, arguing in the affirmative, we have Alan Footerman, an economist.
1:18.0	He was adjunct professor of institutional economics at UCL, Argentina,
