Hey everybody, welcome back to The Tom Woods Show.

It's episode 24-04 with our old friend Michael Reckton Wald.

There's so many things one could say about Michael Reckton Wald.

He's as Scott Horton used to say about me.

He seems to be the author of every book that's ever been written.

But in particular about his background, I want you to know, he is formerly of NYU.

And he has an interesting story there that we've covered on the show before because he was,

let's be honest, Michael, the kind of professor that I can't stand in terms of his ideas and

stuff.

But then it turned out he just wasn't quite out there enough for them.

And he wound up actually more or less being driven out.

He went from being, frankly, a Marxist to being hardcore in our corner, read everything imaginable.

It's very, very unusual for somebody this late in his career to make a transformation like that.

But did he ever, and boy, he knows the other side, absolutely inside and now.

And he did this, not knowing, is he going to have an income on the other side of this?

What's his life going to look like?

If he abandons everything he's worked for and with up to that point in his life.

But he went ahead and did it.

So I've gotten to know him through that, through the show.
