Alex Magos. Alex is a German professional climber. He is one of the best rock climbers in the world.

This guy is a living legend. I've been wanting to talk to Alex as long as I've been doing the podcast.

We finally were able to make the timing work out. And this was really fun because he was

recording on his phone from the campground in Flatanger on his recent trip to Norway. I'm sure

many of you have seen the news articles about this or seen this from his Instagram,

but Alex has been on a total sending spree ever since the Paris Olympics.

He sent change, which is Adam Andre's 515C or 9B plus, the first 9b plus in the world.

He also sent, I think, three different 9A's in Norway, 514Ds. And then he also climbed

his project that he talks about in this episode, which was Move, which is Adam Ander's

route as well, 515B slash C. So a pretty incredible three-week trip, just showing how amazing it is

when one of these athletes takes their Olympic fitness and applies

it to the rock. But yeah, I have been a huge fan and admirer of Alex for his entire career.

I first became aware of him in 2013 on a trip to Bishop. I actually watched him climb some

really hard stuff in Bishop and learned about

this 19-year-old kid named Alex Magos who was crushing everything. We actually talk about that

and we talk about his America trip from that year in this podcast episode, which was super fun.

I'd always heard just how incredible that trip was for him. We go into all the details in this podcast,

but it was really fun to hear about some of his highlights and more about that trip.

And then we also spent quite a bit of time talking about some of the changes that he's making

to his climbing habits to reach his full potential. He still has some huge goals. He's got some

9B plus and 9C projects that he wants to
