This is where we go over the twenty twenty two NFL draft risers and followers from the previous week college football week five also an absolute treat today going over Mel Kiper juniors new top twenty five twenty twenty two NFL draft rankings were to look at those on ESPN at ESPN dot com gives some reactions to what he has already he's had two big boards now. One big board out September first and there now this one came out. No five or six days ago and it's a lot different than it was before it's grinding. I mean with the

0:57.5

next day out he's got to put out put in the work he's already got his top ten long snappers he's already got his kickers and punters ranked together because you know if you need a kicker you just have to draft the top punter on draft where you got to rank him together they're all the same thing it's all the same thing don't even you know I hate this course on his position whatever designations he has like as defenders of off-ball linebacker off a linebacker at edge whatever I want to go through his top twenty five rankings stop in between some certain spots here and then give some reactions to that. So number one over

1:27.5

all cave on Cibito defense been an organ no surprises there I was surprised however that he also has Cal Hamilton is his second best prospect in the twenty twenty two NFL draft I thought you might be on a cliff there not a cliff on an island there with maybe on a cliff with Cal Hamilton is the number two overall prospect with other guys you know specifically you know my argument is lineman you know lineman that often go higher than you know say. Yeah safety I mean the number two overall for that to be the safety position is what we see.

1:57.5

That was one of the trivia questions right like last time a safety went top five in the draft was Eric Barry like it does not happen whereas O.T.'s D.T.'s D.E.'s that's every year for those positions so I do agree but I again like he is not weighing positional value and if fucking the running back was he thought second best player he put them at number two I am and I still think I'll have that's that good. Yeah previously he was the fifth ranked player on Milkaver's Milkaver junior draft where he's now number two then you have Derek Stingley

2:27.5

who I think we have in the same position as well Derek Stingley at number three the LSU cornerback Evan Neal off the tackle Alabama at four eight and Hutchinson up from thirteen on his previous draft four to five right where we have him as well on the P.F. F.F. D.T.'s D.T.'s actually actually getting some legitimate edge to love top five five from Milkaver. So we have same exact same top five as we do in order that is it. So what do you do now looking at the right. So this is probably one of the

2:57.5

where the conversation starts. So obviously as an identical top five to P.F. F.F. and then at number six previously unranked and a guy we've talked about a little bit on this podcast Mississippi offense to tackle Charles Crosse. Yeah number six in the twenty twenty two NFL draft which I find I find a bit too high. I mean you turn on his tapes so far this season you can see the athleticism you can see him get you know I think he does a really good job and run black and getting in front of people and those things but specifically past protection be on a speed of power by B. Joe July against against LSU

3:27.5

be for a strip sack against La Tech and he's gotten beat on the handful of inside moves to I think he's gotten whiffed with so it's his hands too much too much error in past protection for me to feel all that confident as the number six overall player. I do think his run blocking has been impressive and he's been far improved what he's been in previous years and you've talked about him as this project tackle that needs to take the next step. He's taken a step but this is a top six step. So I do think that at this point the process. It's like it's not saying.

3:57.5

That this guy is a number six overall pick it's saying that this guy. Is the six best playing class you know like that not every class has that many guys at our blue chip type of prospect so I'm not disagreeing too much with that like he has. Improve that much from last year to this year we just highlighted him I believe last week on an episode and I haven't at thirty eight I had met thirty a draft board. I had him as a riser even this year when he was started in the fifties up to thirty eight and I even think that is too low like he is a first round type.

4:27.5

The player number six. You can split hairs there. I don't think there is many blue chip players just right now as there were in last year's draft class. Now obviously there's a lot of season left for guys to separate themselves. But so I think that could be part of it as well. He's gotten right ahead of what I feel is a blue chip talent. DeMarvin Leal the text saying MD fits tackle he's down to seven previously at six and then. Another interesting conversation is Jahan Dotson the Penn State wide receiver previously unranked on his draft board now.

4:57.5

The wide receiver one top eight on his draft board. I can't get on board with this I can't get on board with this five for eleven one eighty four. He's not in overall he's not a big speedster I wouldn't call him a route specialist my strengths and looking at his smooth after the catch as a reason he plays part return and also he has hands for days catches everything thrown his way. That in my opinion and you saw the one deep pass he did have or not one deep pass he's had but a long deep touchdown against Villanova was able to cook that corner with some speed.

5:27.5

I don't know what that relative speed is to what Villanova's put in the quarterback but I just don't know if I see. Wide receiver one town especially in a class with Garrett Wilson Chris Alave. Yeah this was the first one going to the list where I was like oh like this is this was the one that stuck out all the other ones I can see I mean you mentioned Charles cross wraps the lower on him the number six but I can see it.

5:48.4

Dohan Dodson is number eight overall player in a class like draft from the guy like that top ten or draft him to get a hot ahead of guys like Chris Alave Garrett Wilson I was just like I don't think I can see that.

6:00.6

He's obviously a little different type of wide receiver is five eleven one eighty four he is not going to.

6:08.0

He's good at the catch point but he's never going to be down at the catch point at that size it's just difficult to when you are.

6:14.0

Smaller the most NFL corners that he's going to be facing so yeah he's shifty yes he's talented with the ball his hands and I think he is a fairly crafty route right I don't think he's anything exceptional I would probably take Chris Alave as a route runner over Jayhan Dodson.

6:29.7

The things like I've a lot more than four he's going to run like maybe a four four five is where I put him at that kind of speed he is not a elite take the top off I think that's for low to right I don't know if he's a low four four star I think that is like around the range you can expect from him.

6:44.0

So that's just man I a guy like that you've already seen him get altered on the course of routes versus bigger corners at the last range versus press like that if you don't have a lead speed to basically say you can't press me because if you're going to with once I'm going to absolutely cook you and you're not going to have any recourse because I am faster than you when you don't have that I think he's going to see a lot more press and a lot more physicality at the next level so this one.

7:08.8

And the what has taken the wide receiver class in general here I just couldn't get bored with yeah I can either I think he has an elite sentence here for his rationale thoughts and is an explosive why don't have a great season look how open he is on this 49 and touched on against Wisconsin that that was like off coverage was blown like that was not a bus coverage I don't know that both but he had to like deep receptions against his concept both of which where it was not man coverage it looked it looked like it was it was in zone coverage and it looked a little bit like that.

7:38.8

Busted in my opinion I thought that's what it was also he has here his 12.22 averaged area arts perturget and he's not catching a lot of screens and stuff behind the line scrimmage you look at how many you pass this he's caught less than five yards beyond the line scrimmage on 35 targets it's been 10 and I mean has been still has you know near the line of scrimmage receptions for 12.2

7:59.2

very yards perturget is is not high but he uses that as a high bar like top yummy round last year was up around 18 you know like 12.2 is rank average for a college wide receiver that is not saying he's like getting bombs left and right would you even argue that he's an outside receiver that's the other thing like I don't even know if you position him on the outside good yeah I think he could like not every but again that is on the low end for outside wide receivers there are a guy

8:29.2

there not a lot of that's that's like Tyler locket size yeah and and I don't know if he's title on the level so we're so sure 22 of his 35 receptions have been caught nine or fewer yards down the field I don't and I don't I don't see he's I don't think he's this explosive deep threat that maybe he's being billed as all right Garrett Wilson he's the number 90 overall player on his draft for wide receiver to
