Got a couple of things to get to on this podcast today ahead of the Bears final preseason game

against the Tennessee Titans. It's really, Moon, like you said, it's really an off week

for the Bears. Yeah. I mean, even it's a short week for the game, but who cares?

So, I mean, the guys who are playing for jobs care, but right. Yeah, even up here at

Hallis, I think they're putting on, they set up a separate practice

for the varsity and the JVs.

So what I want to talk about here is the first thing to hit is, so Phil Sims was on Chris

Simms show, his son, on NBC Sports, and he said the bears of one of the worst backup

quarterback situations in the NFL. Now, granted, Phil Sims did say that Chase Daniels,

pause for comedic effect, can't go on the road and win a game. He's already done that, which he did

last year.

But the one thing I will say to kind of talk about this a little bit further is that Chase Daniel has not had a good preseason.

But if you're worried about Chase Daniel having a bad preseason and thinking, well, this is, you know, it's over.

Go back to what he did last year. And he went one and one in the, you know, in the two games that he started. If your backup

goes 500, you're feeling pretty good about it. Now granted, if Mitch Trubisky were to miss

significant time, yeah, I think you don't feel great about that, but there aren't many teams in the NFL

that if your quarterback misses significant time or surprisingly retires during a preseason game,

that you're going to feel too good about that quarterback situation. Yeah, did Phil Sim say this?

Did he, we're talking about Joshua Dobbs in Pittsburgh. I mean, you're right. It's so rare.

We can probably think of the only teams that have good backup situations, which might, let's say the New York Giants with Eli.
