in the Bezos universe yesterday when 16,000 people were cut from Amazon. This is what the media

were very, very concerned about. Amazon said that it was going to cut some

16,000 corporate employees. The first round of cuts in October led to about 14,000 white-collar

employees receiving pink slips. And even at the time, Amazon was talking about 30,000 job cuts. So, of course,

people in the world of journalism, they were deeply affected. They were really upset about the tens of thousands of people who were about to lose their jobs at Amazon,

one of the most successful companies in America and in the world.

Oh, I'm just kidding.

They didn't care about that.

They barely covered that.

That lasted in the news for like five seconds.

What they are really, really upset about in the Bezos universe is that the Washington Post is going to

lay off one third of its staff. Oh, no. So the Washington Post is cutting. Wait for it. Wait for it.
