Mountain Bucks. Here's the story and hopefully you like it. I got invited to my buddy's bow camp in

Maryland this year, 2021 in November. I got up there and only had three days to hunt. The first day I scouted

the property the whole day, I found a nice ridge covered with rubs and two scrapes.

I sat there all day in my saddle on the second day and never saw a deer.

Luckily, the next morning, my luck changed. I saw three days and two spike bucks by 9 a.m.

At 10.30 that morning, a big, beautiful six point buck came in at five yards. I hardly had time to think

about it. I just drew and put the pin where it needed to be. He ran about 15 yards and piled up.

Two days later was the West Virginia rifle opener. I've been hunting a piece of public during

the bow season all year this year and had a few close encounters.

I just couldn't seal the deal. I was running late and then decided to go on my bow spot on a four-year-old
