we jump into this wonderful journey called Revelation the Book of Revelation.

So this is going to be our second podcast about the book of revelation and I don't know

Bryce I don't even know if we're going to be able to get out of chapter one but we're going to try.

Yeah, but that's okay because I think chapter one is a great way to kick off the book of revelation.

Let me start off by taking everyone back to the book of Mormon to Nephi and

Isaiah. Now bear with me you'll see where I'm going.

After Nephi quotes a huge chunk of Isaiah in 2nd Nephi, then we get to chapter 25 and Nephi tells us

that his people found it hard to understand the writings of Isaiah because, quote, they knew not concerning the manner of prophesying

among the Jews. They weren't familiar with the style of the Jews, the

symbolic nature of the writings of Isaiah and some of the Old Testament prophets.

And so Nephi says, as a contrast, I'm going to write in plainness.

And that's what he does.

He writes clearly in plainness.
