I know that God has a word for you.

We are talking about what it is to be a holy nation.

Now you might remember from 1 Peter, and I better put on my glasses so that I can read

this in 1 Peter chapter 2, verse 9, it says, but you are a chosen race, a royal priest

who is a holy nation, a people for his own position, that you may proclaim the excellencies

of him who called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.

Once you were not a people, but now you are God's people.

Once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

Beloved, I urge you as sojourners and exiles to abstain from the passions of the flesh,
