Summary

On this episode I rate and review each “menu chapter” of The Rise Of Skywalker. Do I like more scenes than I dislike and does that reflect my overall feelings about the film.

Plus what I would’ve liked to have seen different? What plot points seem to have changed mid production and how that affects the film.

If you want to play along here's the chapter list I made up for Act 1.

Crawl

Mustafar

Meeting Palpatine

Huleo Helps

Hyperspace Skipping

Rey Trains

Leia Comforts Rey

Poe & Rey

The Resistance Meets

I Must Go To Exegol

Leaving In The Falcon

Kylo & The Knights Of Ren

Arriving At Pasana

Meeting Lando

Speeder Chase

Serpent Serpent

Pasana Stand Off

This was super fun, looking forward to doing act 2 and 3.

0:49.8

Hey, you guys, welcome to Steel Wars. I am Steel Solenders and I do love Star Wars. And on this week's episode,

0:57.6

we're going to do something that I'm very excited about. I need to get this out of my system. And I've been looking forward to doing for a little bit now is I've got a screener of the rise of Skywalker. And

1:07.6

what I'm going to do is a chapter by chapter breakdown and review of the film.

1:14.4

And what I want to do, which for some reason fascinates me, is I'm going to give each chapter,

1:20.7

I'm going to make up my own Blu-ray chapters for the screener.

1:27.1

And I'm going to score each chapter out of five and then I will average that score at the end

1:36.7

because I'm fascinated about how you view the whole film compared to parts of the film.

1:46.5

Because, like, with, like, Attack of the Clones, which seems to be one of the most kicked about chapters of Star Wars film.

2:05.5

But it has some of the best bits like the whole Django versus Kenobi you know whether it's in the rain or in space it's all golden

2:14.9

all of it geonosis huge fan of genosis droid factory less so so that's what i'm getting at

2:24.9

and uh so i thought it'd be interesting to take in and separate like the the the really positive

2:32.2

things about uh the rise of skywalker for me and then the things I found

2:37.6

less positive because sometimes, you know, this film, like every Star Wars film, some people

2:45.2

loved it, some people didn't. But I feel like one of those things of being a Star Wars fan and staying sane is to celebrate the things that we love in each film.

3:02.7

Because, you know, George Lucas brought out a new hope.

3:07.6

We all loved it.

3:09.2

It was, you know, considered pretty perfect because that was our first thing.
