They knew nothing of the invisible infrastructure of pipes and pumps that made water gush out of the faucet. Similarly there is invisible spiritual infrastructure that makes modern commerce possible. 1:13.8	It was May 1948.
1:23.8	And for the first time, in a very long period of history, Jews were back in the land of Israel.
1:32.0	And one of the first things that happened later that year, late in 1948, was the awareness that about 50,000 Jews in Yemen, basically the whole Jewish population of Yemen, were
1:40.1	being oppressed and basically being forced to leave and become stateless.
1:48.5	And they didn't have United Nations welfare and relief agency.
1:55.0	They didn't know what they were going to do.
1:57.3	And at that point, the fledgling land of Israel set up what they called on the wings of
2:06.9	vultures and Operation Magic Carpet. And they had charter airplanes, and they flew. I think it may be
2:17.1	one of the biggest airlifts of people in history.
2:20.1	Over quite a short period of time, a few months, they flew about 50,000 Yemenite Jews to Israel.
